“The idea for Café Creole first came to us as a tribute to the late Uncle Murray Hertz, the original founder of Murray’s New Orleans Bourbon Street Steaks and Oysters. We wanted to create a spinoff of this well-loved institution in honor of Uncle Murray, who had always been an inspiration to us,” Raymund Magdaluyo, restaurateur and owner of Café Creole.

It was when American hotels in the1930’s first started serving Sunday brunch buffets of breakfast food, savory dishes, and daytime cocktails that brunch soon became increasingly popular all over the world.”
